Arizona Art Events
“Revolución:
Tierra y Libertad" - Exhibition of Ted DeGrazia Paintings -
in Tucson: The first formal exhibition of
paintings by Ted DeGrazia that depict events of the Mexican
Revolution includes 19 oils and 11 works on paper created by
the artist from 1937-1973. In the early 1940s, DeGrazia was
exposed to Mexican Revolution artworks first-hand during his
tutelage under Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco in
Mexico City. This exhibition showcases the influence of
these mural masters. The exhibit is on display at the
historic DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, in Tucson, and will
run until January 16, 2009. Read more about

Art
Exhibits at Yuma Art Center - The Yuma Art
Center Galleries feature a number exhibits and artists
on display through November. The North Gallery features
work from the Children’s Festival of the Arts; the West
Gallery features the work of artists Angelica Villaseñor
& Manuel Cuen; Barbara Oliver Hartman are featured in
the Central Gallery, and the Permanent Collection is on
display in the South Gallery. The Yuma Art Center is
located in the heart of Yuma’s Historic Downtown

Exhibit
"In Memoriam: Their Art Lives On” in Fallbrook
– During the month of November, Brandon Gallery is
celebrating the art work of its deceased members and
friends in an exhibition in the Etcetera Gallery titled
"In Memoriam: Their Art Lives On”. The exhibition
includes the work of Dorothy Finley, Louise Prestidge,
Dean Myers and Lolita Moore. These artists have left
behind their art work and the memories of their
contribution to the Fallbrook Art Community. The work
includes both oil and watercolor pieces. Landscape,
still life, portraiture are among the techniques
exhibited. Read more about

Pipsqueaks
by Art Speaks in Fallbrook - Small works for
lean times! Come see the latest works by the group Art
Speaks. The art may be miniature, but their impact is
larger than life. See picture ‘Notes in Time’
which was done in a Collaborative
Works Project mail art program sponsored by the San
Diego Art Caucus. Artists who worked on them include
Carrie Repking, Linda Premo, Diane Adams, Debra Radke,
and Nan McMillian. Start your holiday shopping
early! Show runs from Nov. 7-Dec. 1st and is
