Wild horses are a part of our western heritage and the largest herd of wild horses, are in danger of being slaughtered by the Nevada Department of Agriculture. Wild horse advocates Willis Lamm, Lacy J Dalton, and Craig Downer will be joining us to talk about the wild horses that roam the Virginia Range, near Virginia City, Nevada. Willis and Lacy are also western musicians so we’ll chat with them about their music, and play some tunes from their album ‘Hearts of Iron’ which features a collection of original western songs and poetry, and is dedicated to America’s wild horses, living symbols of the freedom of the old west.

Joan Burns – How to Plan a Fundraising Event & Help the Cause
Many organizations, especially non-profits, have the need to raise money. Most fundraising is event driven, and Joan Burns our Event Planning Guru will be back on the show to discuss how events can bring an organization new money, superb public relations, potential new donors and volunteers, and serve as an opportunity to build team spirit among volunteers and staff. Joan Burns, CSEP, is the owner of Sampson & Associates, a Meeting and Event Planning Company in Oceanside, CA. Joan also writes a monthly Event Planning column for SouthwestBlend.com. Diane Dittemore – AZ State Museum ‘The Pottery Project’
Diane Dittemore is the Ethnological Collections Curator at Arizona State Museum. She will join us to talk about the Museum’s new exhibit ‘The Pottery Project’, where within the last year, she moved over 4,000 historic and contemporary southwestern pots into a brand new, state of the art, storage facility, and serves as a curator for the exhibit. At some 20,000 whole vessels, ASM's collection of Southwest Indian pottery is the world's largest and most comprehensive. In addition to an 18-ft, floor-to-ceiling, glass case vividly illustrating more than 150 select specimens from the premier and nationally recognized collection, there will be a multimedia version of the museum's pottery vault through which visitors will be able to walk (virtually) and access the three dimensional specimens.
