Breakfast Bonanza!

Start your day the right way - where the food is good, the service is great, the atmosphere is warm & the price is right. Taste some of the
Best Breakfasts on the Menu.

1. CHILEQUILES CON HUEVOS - Margarita’s Restaurant: A Mexican breakfast specialty bursting with flavor, comes with two eggs-cooked any style--served on a bed of Tortilla chips that are covered with mild red or spicy green sauce, a dollop of sour cream and fresh avocado slices; plus an order of rice and beans. Try their Mexican hot coffee with milk, or live it up with a Mimosa. Located in the historic De Luca House, Margarita’s has a fun atmosphere with a cheerful dining room and an outdoor patio area offering good views of the downtown. 2018 Main St., Julian, CA. (760) 765-3980

2. BELGIAN WAFFLE - Moe's Log Cabin Cafe: Savor the classic combination of melted butter and syrup soaking into a delicious Belgian Waffle that is lightly dusted with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream. Their Stuffed Waffle is loaded with ham, eggs and melted cheese. On weekends, treat yourself to their Stuffed Belgian Waffle Brunch, with a Mimosa or Bloody Mary. Enjoy scenic lake and mountain views; in a casual, friendly and family atmosphere. Moe's Log Cabin Cafe is in Warner Springs on the way to the Anza Borrego Desert.

3. BUTTERMILK PANCAKES - Mother’s Kitchen: Start your day with a stack of scrumptious buttermilk pancakes dripping with maple syrup, and a sizzling order of vegetarian link sausage. Warm up with a cup of gourmet coffee or hot chocolate topped with whipped cream. Enjoy the warm and casual atmosphere in a cabin-style dining room complete with a crackling fireplace on chilly days; or dine outside in their beautiful summer garden. Mother’s Kitchen is located at the Junction of S6 and S7, up on scenic Palomar Mountain, CA. (760) 742-4233

4. STRAWBERRY FRENCH TOAST- Alpine Bread Basket Restaurant & Bakery: Their famous San Diego Style French Toast is made from their own sweet breads baked fresh daily. Their Strawberry French Toast made from thick slices of Cinnamon Swirl Bread, is served with fresh strawberries, homemade strawberry syrup and whipped cream. They have lovely indoor dining rooms and an outdoor dining area where you can relax next to a babbling creek that runs through a lush garden. The Bread Basket is in the Alpine Creek Shopping Center, 1347 Tavern Rd., Alpine, CA. (800) 532-0200

5. BAKED BRIE & FRESH FRUIT - The Wonder Garden Cafe: A healthy choice featuring melted brie cheese, fresh fruit, and your choice of bagel. The bagels are handmade from the Bagel Bistro in Palm Desert, and their selection includes plain, whole wheat, sesame, poppy, French toast, cinnamon raisin, orange cranberry, and blueberry. The atmosphere is friendly, and the Cafe is tastefully furnished. One of their outdoor dining areas is in a serene and shaded garden. The Wonder Garden Cafe is located at 73511 Twentynine Palms Hwy., Twentynine Palms, CA. (760) 367-2429.

6. THE YUMA SPECIAL - Yuma Landing: Hearty breakfast of two eggs, crispy hash browns, choice of bacon, ham or sausage links; and toast. The Yuma Landing is a historical site and pictorial museum marking where the first plane landed in Arizona. On October 25, 1911 pilot Rob Fowler, who was heading to the East Coast from Santa Monica, touched down in Yuma between 1st & 3rd Sts., on 4th Ave. Today, a historic marker commemorating the ‘75th Anniversary of Flight in Yuma’, stands in front of The Yuma Landing - the very site of the bi-plane’s original touch down. 195 S. 4th Ave., Yuma, AZ. (928) 782-7427, www.YumaLanding.com

7. HOMEMADE QUICHE - The Garden Cafe: This breakfast sensation is part of The Garden Cafe’s Sunday Brunch, and is served with fresh fruit and delicious homemade fruit, bread or a muffin. Choose from homemade Garden Vegetable Quiche with spinach, mushrooms, and Jack & cheddar cheeses; or the Garden Southwest Quiche featuring mild chilies, black olives, green onions, and jack & cheddar cheeses. Sunday Brunch is served between 8am and 2:30pm, outside in the garden amid the scented lemon trees, flowers and singing birds. The Garden Cafe is located at 250 Madison Ave., Yuma, AZ. (928) 783-1491.
