Exhibit
‘Glitter & Chalk: Carnival Prize Caricatures, 1915-1960’ – Silver City,
NM:
The exhibit features a large number of carnival chalkware statues loaned
from the collection of Eric Renner, along with Renner’s one-of-a-kind
photographic “portraits” of individual chalkware figures. Each image
resulted from ten-to-thirty-minute time exposures using a pinhole camera
and Polaroid 809 color film. Exhibit runs until Sept. 28th,
at the Silver City Museum.

‘Weaving: Native Baskets & Blankets’ – Tucson, AZ:
This new exhibit
opens on June 5 in Tohono Chul Park’s Wells Fargo Foyer Gallery, and
will run for a full year, featuring selections from the Park’s
permanent collection together with items loaned by local collectors.
The focus is on regional Native crafts of basketry and textiles,
which are both created
using the weaving process. Read
