37th Annual Julian Bluegrass
Festival & Banjo / Fiddle Contest
Annual Bluegrass Festival in Julian, CA

The Julian Lion's Club presents the 37th annual Julian Bluegrass Festival & Banjo / Fiddle Contest Saturday, September 20 – from 9 until 6 and Sunday, September 21, from 9 until 4. The event is held at Frank Lane Park, 2645 Farmers Road, Julian CA, 92036.

For more than 30 years the Julian Bluegrass Festival has brought the traditions of bluegrass music to the hearts of Americana music lovers and festival-goers that make the journey to the Cuyamaca Mountains each Fall. For two-days music is the language that unites people from across the state.  This year's impressive line-up of musicians will share the stage with native favorites and new artists on the rise.

Frank Lane Park will be vibrating with energy, but when you're not engrossed in the music you can get involved in the instrument petting zoo, the art vendors and don't forget to bring your instruments for the open jam.  Become enchanted by the quaint goldmine town of Julian, things to do and see around town are: biking, hiking, afternoon teas, llama treks, apple picking, boating, fishing, candle carvings, carriage rides, gold mines, art galleries, museums, beading, dining, bird watching and so much more.  We are especially excited about the return of our banjo / fiddle competitions, a tradition to the festival since the very beginning.
