About Nogales, Arizona
The City of Nogales is home to over 20,000 residents, and is the seat of Santa Cruz County in southern Arizona. Nogales in Arizona, borders Nogales in Sonora, Mexico, its sister city, and is Arizona’s largest border town. Just a few miles away in the Santa Rita Mountains is a natural wonder "Cave of the Bells", an underground wilderness complete with its own lake.
For a long time, Nogales has been a community rich in historical, cultural, and wonderful scenic activities. Years before European explorers arrived, Nogales was a migratory path and trade route known as "El Camino Real" (The King’s Highway). Today, the historic missions built by the early Spanish settlers still stand, dotting the valley’s Sonoran landscape. Visitors come to see the historical architectures and enjoy the many outdoor activities that include golf, biking, camping, bird-watching, cave exploring, ghost towns, and more.

Visitors can also catch the railroad tour that takes guests through Mexico’s Copper Canyon, which is four times the size of America’s Grand Canyon, and is probably man’s greatest engineering feats with railroad track going from sea level and climbing to almost 8,000 feet above sea level and crossing some of the highest bridges in the world, and weaving through 87 tunnels - one a mile long 360 degree spiral.
