Art Walk –
Stockton, CA
Apr. 10 – Sept. 11, 2009 -
2nd Fridays from 5 pm - 8 pm
The Art Walk is held
the 2nd Friday of the month April through September. The event is a
self-guided tour featuring art work in every medium; from photography to
sculpture, from fine art to live music and spoken word. Some exciting
themes like Shakespeare in the Park or Beautiful Stockton Photography
have been developed this year to inspire creativity, but art of all
types will be accepted throughout the year. Each gallery, restaurant or
stop along the way features an opportunity to taste wine, sample food
and to meet local artists showcasing/selling their work.
Themes:
During each Art Walk,
visitors may enjoy a classic movie at the Bob Hope Theatre or they have
an opportunity to meet an exhibiting artist at the Meet-the-Artist
reception at the Tidewater Art Gallery.
Tickets/Cost: Downtown Art Walk is free to attend and there is no
commission fee for art sold at the event.
