Emphasizing the life and lore of the southwest cowboy some fifty years ago, Ed Keenan captures the colorful details of this unique desert cowhand and rancher, in historical vignettes, recipes and poetry. He has, obviously, been over the trail of which he writes. His poems are laced with real cowboy humor, but filled with reality and drama of the extremes that only the desert can provide. Ed is the author of the Sold Out book, Cow Chip Poetry--Lies, Lingo an' Lore, an unusually entertaining collection of thirty-two original poems that read more like a historical adventure of gringo cowboys, ranchers and rural folks. He is currently working on another book. In the meantime, please enjoy his poems, stories and recipes below. Ed Keenan: www.EdKeenan-author.com
